Using MidJourney Prompts from this Site
Most of the desktop backgrounds and wallpapers on this site are made with Midjourney. Midjourney is a generative AI program. Similar to OpenAI's DALL-E and Stable Diffusion, Midjourney's program creates images based on natural language descriptions, referred to as 'prompts'. Currently, in open beta, the tool is exclusively accessible through a Discord bot on the official Midjourney Discord server. Warning. There is a learning curve to Discord which is beyond the scope of this article. To create images, users input the /imagine
command along with a prompt, and the bot responds with a set of four images. Users can then select which images they wish to upscale. For example, to generate an image of a cat, you would use the command:
/imagine cat
And Midjourney will generate four different images of a cat. One disadvantage is the requirement of subscribing to a Midjourney plan before you can start generating images, unlike many of its competitors that typically offer some free image generations.
Copy-Pasting Prompts for Use in Midjourney
This site offers a variety of wallpapers for free download, although accessing the prompts for these images requires a subscription. For subscribed members, here are the steps to utilize these prompts.
- Towards the end of the article, you'll find the prompts used to create the respective images. Select and copy the prompt you're interested in using.
- Next, open your Discord app and navigate to Midjourney's official Discord server. If your subscription doesn't permit the creation of stealth images, head over to one of the various #newbies channels. Note that each #newbies channel concludes with a unique number, like #newbies-37.
- Once there, enter
/imagine
at the prompt to start the process. - Paste the copied prompt from this site into Midjourney’s input field, which appears once you've entered
/imagine
. - And that's all. Shortly, you'll receive four different image versions that you can upscale and use to create derivatives.
